Quarterfinal Action at the Big South Conference

No March tournament has the potential for more madness than the Big South Conference Tournament (being held in Buies Creek, North Carolina on the campus of Campbell University). Parity is the name of the game in the Big South as the top eight teams in the conference were separated by a mere three games in the regular season. It would not be a shock if any of the remaining teams win the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

(Asheville, NC) – When it comes to basketball in March, it’s common knowledge that the team that defends the best will have the upper hand in typically close, tense games. But in the opening game of the 2019 Ingles Southern Conference Basketball Tournament Friday night, defense took a backseat as VMI (8-24, 4-14) rode the red-hot shooting of sophomore Bubba Parham to run past Western Carolina 96-83 in the U.S. Cellular Center.

Anti-Semitism or Anti-Israel?

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has shaken the nation over the past several weeks with blatant anti-Semitism veiled under the guise of constructive criticism of Israel. In truth, Omar’s comments are dripping with contempt for America’s longtime Middle Eastern ally and its people here at home. The congresswoman’s remarks, her lack of remorse, and the left’s willingness to cover for her are highly indicative of a dangerous trend foreboding treachery for Israel and America’s apparently waning support for it.
