#4 Florida State vs. #13 Vermont, March Madness First Round (Hartford, CT)

Despite an unholy barrage of three pointers from #13 Vermont (27-6, 14-2 AEC), the No. 4 seed Florida State Seminoles (28-7, 13-5 ACC) survived by a score of 76-69 at the XL Center in Hartford, CT to advance to Saturday’s second round matchup against Murray State.  

In search of its school-record 28th win of the season, Florida State entered this game as solid favorites despite being without veteran forward Phil Cofer (right foot) for the thirteenth game of the season.
