BEAT L.A.

BEAT L.A.

The motto for the diamondbacks all year has been, BEAT LA.  Well, coming into this week the division is all but wrapped up.  But the D-backs weren’t thinking about anything but proving they could do just that, BEAT LA.  The first game of this middle of the week divisional matchup included Rich Hill and Zack Godley.  Hill didn’t last long and gave up some early runs to Arizona.  Godley didn’t pitch well, gave up 4 runs early in the game.  The D-backs were able to get into that Dodger bullpen a little early as Hill didn’t make it out of the fourth inning.  David Peralta Tripled home Godley and Goldy hit a solo shot in the fifth inning, …

A Day to Remember

A Day to Remember

On Monday the 14th of August, it was “A Day to Remember” as the Houston Astros came into Chase Field sitting atop the American League West with a very comfortable lead.  The Diamondbacks came into the Houston series nowhere close to the division lead.  Arizona still has maintained a pretty good lead in the wildcard race, right next to the Colorado Rockies.  Both clubs had been scuffling of late and were eager for the Monday night matchup to begin.  They weren’t the only ones in the stadium looking forward to the game.

Saucy Prophecy – NFL Predictions Part II

This is the second act of my three part prediction special.  I’m almost positive that I stirred up some sauce with the first one.  But depending on how spicy you like it, I might’ve tickled your tonsils.  I just want to reiterate, the Madden Curse is real people!  Since my last article, Jay Cutler has signed a one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins.  What does that mean?  For dolphins fans, it means you are about to board the diabetic roller coaster of which that is Mr. Jay Christopher Cutler.  Chicago enjoyed (sarcasm) this exciting venture for 8 seasons.  Now he is the Fins problem, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.  Or in …

Saucy Prophecy – NFL Predictions

Saucy Prophecy – NFL Predictions

We are about four and a half weeks away from kickoff for the 2017 NFL regular season.  And once again, we as football fans are waiting patiently.  The hardest part of football for me, it’s the rest of the year where I find myself sitting around counting down the days.  So I’m going to do everyone a favor, save you some time and tell you what is going down.

I’m going to start with maybe the sauciest of the saucy, where we will start in the AFC East division.  The New England Patriots have long been atop the division, hell they been on top of everything since the decade began.  The only time they slipped …
