Coyotes Shut Out In Home Opener; Still Scoreless On Season

GLENDALE, AZ- With a complete sell-out of over 17,000 fans, the Arizona Coyotes took to the ice in their home opener against the Anaheim Ducks.  Arizona came into their home opener after losing their first game of the season to the Dallas Stars on Thursday night, 3-0.

So the first thing that I was wondering heading into tonight’s matchup was who was going to score the first goal of the season for the Coyotes?  Unfortunately, that question went unanswered as they were shutout tonight by the final score of 1-0.

It wasn’t for the lack of trying on the part of the Coyotes offense as they pounded the puck toward the Ducks Goaltender, John Gibson to the tune of 41 …

Diamondbacks Win In Historic Game At Chase Field!

The Arizona Diamondbacks Walk-Off in 15 Innings Against The Los Angeles Dodgers at Chase Field.

This is my fourth year covering the Arizona Diamondbacks.  They haven’t won an actual championship in almost 17 seasons. They are not flashy.  Most of the players on the Diamondbacks are highly underrated in my opinion.  The Diamondbacks organization itself has never been called out for making really big news.  Hell, The Diamondbacks aren’t even my favorite team, as everyone knows that my heart lies with my teams in Boston, where I was raised.

The D’Backs charged out of the gate early, putting up five runs in the first inning, highlighted by a Nick Ahmed 3-run shot to Left Field and into the home bullpen.  For the Rockies, they would answer with a home run by Ian Desmond to Right Field, plating two, and cutting the D’Backs lead down to 5-2.

The D’backs would get on the board again n the bottom of the …

Diamondbacks “Rock The Rockies” In Season Opener

PHOENIX, AZ-  You really could not have asked for better weather than what we got here in Phoenix tonight for the season opener between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Colorado Rockies.  A sold out crowd, composed of fans from both teams were treated with blue skies, around 80 degrees, and an open roof at Chase Field in downtown Phoenix.  Obviously, there were more Diamondbacks fans there than Rockies fans.

And they were treated to an offensive show by the home team, led by Jake Lamb, who went 2-5 with key hits in the 1st and 6th innings, driving in 4 runs, both times with the bases loaded.  Lamb played in the 5th spot for the Diamondbacks tonight, originally supposed to …
