Herm Edwards Era At Arizona State Opens With 49-7 Win

[Tempe, AZ] Granted, UTSA is not a powerhouse, but they are still an opponent on Arizona States schedule that should not be overlooked since any team can win on any day.  Herm Edwards knew this, and he also knew that a loss on opening night at home would bring the critics of his hiring by the bus loads right to his door step.  Add that to the fact that it would be very easy for his young team to simply discount any challenge by UTSA and skip ahead to the 11th-ranked Michigan State Spartans who will come to town this coming weekend.

But if there is one thing that Herm Edwards is great at, it’s getting young men to focus …

Can The Arizona Diamondbacks Win The NL West?

Thinking optimistically, it would be a win for the season for the Arizona Diamondbacks to even make it back to the postseason for consecutive years.  It would also be a win for manager Torrey Lovullo to take the team to the postseason in his first two years of his reign in the desert.  So do they need to win the National League West to be a legit threat for a title, or will consecutive returns to the wild-card game be a win?  The real question here is not if they need to win to be legit.  The question here is do the Arizona Diamondbacks have what it takes to win the NL West and overtake the mighty Los Angeles Dodgers?…

Top Destinations For LeVeon Bell In 2019

At this point, it’s all speculation, but it’s really fun to do?  After the Pittsburgh Steelers failed to sign LeVeon Bell to a long-term contract before the offseason deadline, he’ll more than likely be playing his last games this season as a Steeler under the Franchise Tag.  If Pittsburgh wants him back next year, they’ll have to seriously back up the Brinks truck for him, which they have already shown that they are not prepared to do, at least this year.  But before I go into where I believe he’ll be going, let’s cross off a few teams and crush a few fans dreams of having the best all-around running back in the game on their team.

Diamondbacks Use “Home Cooking” To Get Back On Top!

As the weather begins to really heat up in Arizona, so do the Diamondbacks.  While some say that they were just taking advantage of weaker competition in the form of the Cincinnati Reds and Miami Marlins, Arizona’s slump seems to be coming to an end.  After scoring just 42 runs in their last 18 games prior, the Diamondbacks scored 42 runs in their last six-game home stand.

“We’ve still got a long ways to go” said Diamondbacks skipper, Torey Lovullo, when asked about the team’s latest performance at home.  And he’s right, the team does still have a long ways to go since it is only the beginning of June.  But it’s really good to see this offense clicking again.…

Nationals Don’t Play Nice In The Desert!

PHOENIX, AZ- The Washington Nationals are one of the hottest teams in baseball at this time.  On the other side, the Arizona Diamondbacks are officially in a “slump” that they badly need to get out of.  Let’s recap:

Coming into this series, the Diamondbacks had tied the Dodgers in two series, they beat the defending champs in a 3-game series, and they also went on the road and took two of three games in D.C..  As a matter of fact, coming into this series against the Nationals, the Arizona Diamondbacks had not lost a single series this season.  But……

Coming into this series, the offense for the Diamondbacks had only two games in their last thirteen where they scored five …
