The Arizona Diamondbacks have now won their seventh straight series to begin the season!  With the 4-2 win tonight, The “Dbacks” became the first team in 15 seasons to accomplish this feat of starting their season by winning their first seven series.  The last team to accomplish this milestone was the 2003 San Francisco Giants.  Ironically, the Giants then went on the road to play the Philadelphia Phillies, and lost that series two games to one.  Who do the Diamondbacks have next?  Yep, it’s the Philadelphia Phillies, on the road.

Diamondbacks Get Back To Winning Ways

The Arizona Diamondbacks are yet to lose a series this season.  So far, they are a perfect 6-0.  They have won three series at home, as well as three on the road.  They are also yet to lose two games in a row this season.

The Arizona Diamondbacks dropped their first game of a series for the first time this season; Losing 4-1 to the Padres.

PHOENIX— With Taijuan Walker having to opt for Tommy John surgery, the Diamondbacks had to fill his spot in the rotation on Friday night. Enter Matt Koch (pronounced Cook).
 
Even though the Diamondbacks would eventually lose this game tonight by the score of 4-1, it wasn’t because of Koch. Koch went six strong innings, only allowing one run, on two hits, while striking out 4 in a fill-in role for the Diamondbacks bullpen.
