Arizona Diamondbacks Strand 10; Lose 5-4

This seems to be a common story for the Arizona Diamondbacks in the early part of the 2019 season. They are having a hard time finding that clutch hit. They will come back and tie the game, but for some reason they just can’t get that one that makes the difference.

The Arizona Diamondbacks had runners in scoring positions in six of the nine innings, including the final inning after Ketel Marte led off with a double off the right field wall. They would then follow up that clutch hit with strikeouts by Locastro, Peralta, and Walker.

Why Torey Lovullo decided against bunting over Marte to follow the his double is beyond me. I guess you could say that they …

Diamondbacks Pitching Stellar; Bats Fall Flat In Loss

PHOENIX, AZ- The Arizona Diamondbacks are still trying to find their identity on offense as they dropped their third straight on the young season. This includes tonight’s 2-1 loss to the San Diego Padres.

Diamondbacks starter, Luke Weaver took his first loss of the season (0-1) even after pitching 6 and 1/3rd innings, striking out eight, and only allowing two earned runs while spreading out five hits. He allowed a home run by Manny Machado in the 1st inning, but then didn’t allow another run until the 7th inning after back-to-back doubles by Myers and Tatis.

The Diamondbacks bullpen, more specifically Hirano, Lopez, and Holland would hold the Padres scoreless the remainder of the game.

Michael A. Taylor’s Trip Home Sparks the Nats’ Bats in 9-5 Win

Michael A. Taylor was a bonafide superstar in the 2017 MLB Postseason for the Washington Nationals. He hit .333 with two home runs, eight runs driven in, and two walks for the Nats last October. After his performance, expectations were rightfully high for Taylor coming into the 2018 season.

Taylor started Opening Day in Centerfield and was expected to be a key cog for a Nationals team that was looking to finally make a deep postseason run. Unfortunately, however, the 2018 season is almost two months old and both Taylor and the Nationals have been struggling mightily.

Coming into Friday night’s series with the Miami Marlins, the division-favorite Nats sat in third-place in the NL East. Taylor was boasting a

The Arizona Diamondbacks have now won their seventh straight series to begin the season!  With the 4-2 win tonight, The “Dbacks” became the first team in 15 seasons to accomplish this feat of starting their season by winning their first seven series.  The last team to accomplish this milestone was the 2003 San Francisco Giants.  Ironically, the Giants then went on the road to play the Philadelphia Phillies, and lost that series two games to one.  Who do the Diamondbacks have next?  Yep, it’s the Philadelphia Phillies, on the road.

BUT I DON’T BELIEVE IN COINCIDENCE……..when I don’t want to.…

The Arizona Diamondbacks are yet to lose a series this season.  So far, they are a perfect 6-0.  They have won three series at home, as well as three on the road.  They are also yet to lose two games in a row this season.

Now, I know that it’s early still, and you really can’t tell about a team until after the All-Star break, usually, but this start is definitely one of the best in team history.  And …
