ASU Holds Open House and Scrimmage Ahead of Season Opener

Phoenix, Arizona – After a wildly successful season, expectations are sky high for Arizona State University’s (ASU), Baseball squad this season. Being ranked No. 3 in the Preseason Top 25 by Baseball America brings those type of outlooks.

Ahead of the season opener on Friday, ASU held an Open House and scrimmage at Phoenix Municipal Stadium. Fans were treated to tours of the facility, raffles, and an autograph session with the entire 2020 ASU Baseball squad.

Arizona State Upsets #6 Oregon 31-28!

It was a packed house at Sun Devil Stadium for the prime time matchup between the Arizona State SunDevils and the 6th ranked Oregon Ducks. ASU needs a win to get into a bowl game, and the Ducks need to win to keep their playoff chances alive.

After both teams were forced to punt on their first possessions, Oregon then drove 80 yards down the field for the touchdown. Cyrus Habibi-Likio would run in the score from about five yards out. The score with 6:32 remaining in the opening quarter was now 7-0, Ducks.

Arizona State answered with a 57-yard pass from Jayden Daniels to Frank Darby to tie up the score at 7-7.
