KSU Wildcats Advance to Sweet 16

For the Kansas State Wildcats, Sunday’s second round victory didn’t come easy. The 50-43 win over the University of Maryland Baltimore County Retrievers felt a lot like an away game for the nine seed, as UMBC had become the story of the tournament. On Friday night, the Retrievers etched their names in the history book by becoming the first No. 16 seed to ever win a game in the NCAA Tournament. On Sunday, it was KSU’s turn to make history.

#11 Syracuse upset #3 Michigan State and Head to the Sweet 16

Little Caesars Arena looked and felt like a Michigan State home game as “Go Green! Go White!” chants boomed before tip-off.  The atmosphere was setting the stage for a fun and exciting game.  After all, Tom Izzo has made 13 Sweet Sixteen’s, 7 Final Fours, and has 1 National Championship to his name.  You would think it would be Sparty’s night, but the Orange of Syracuse would have something to say about that.

The #11 seed Syracuse is led by Jim Boeheim, who much like Izzo has an impressive resume.  In his 42 seasons on the bench, he has reached 18 Sweet Sixteen’s, 5 Final Fours, and also has won a national championship.  His style of play is to get …

FSU is NOT Texas Southern

Today I look to see the number one seed, Xavier (29-5) to be tested. That wasn’t the case last game against a Texas southern team that frankly this writer thinks didn’t belong in this tournament. The highlight of the game was seeing Bill Murray and a coach argue with a man with spray paint hair. However, make no bones about it J.P Macura shot the lights out, against a shit team or not. I can’t wait to see him against Mfiondu Kabengele in the scoring department. Today should be a great match up and FSU is NOT Texas Southern, so look to have the number one seed pushed a bit harder.
