
Diamondbacks Drop Opening Series Against Rockies
PHOENIX, AZ- The Arizona Diamondbacks spent the last offseason spending money like they were a team ready to contend. They pulled off a surprising blockbuster deal that nobody thought they had a chance to do, in signing Zack Greinke. They then went out and traded one of their top outfielders for Shelby Miller, previously with the Atlanta Braves.
With those two added to a starting lineup that showed promise last year with De La Rosa, Corbin, and Ray. So going into the opening series with the Colorado Rockies, you would think that the Diamondbacks were set up to hit the ground running this year with some stellar pitching.
