Jake Takes Nats to the Max

The Washington Nationals “maxed out” the attendance, “maxxed” the disdain intensity for their former super star, Bryce Harper and found their maximum level of offensive inefficiency in their home opener, Thursday, Mar. 28, 2019.  As Max Scherzer took the mound and broke team records, his team couldn’t find their sticks to support his “max” effort losing 2-0.

“I felt good out there,” the National’s starting pitcher, Max Scherzer said. “I felt like I was executing pitches…from that standpoint, this is a great first start for me to go out there again and make a little adjustment on the cutter and go out there and compete again.”

Scherzer picked up where he left off last year facing the pitcher, Jacob DeGrom, …

Bryce Harper Puts On A Show For The Home Crowd

WASHINGTON (HMG)– The second deck of Nationals Park literally shook when Bryce Harper’s Home Run Derby winner “dinger” sailed over the right field fence.  Harper, adorned in a Washington, DC flag bandana pumped his fist and marched about home plate and the on deck area as if he had just hit a walk-off home run in the seventh game of the World Series.  Meanwhile, the home crowd, which had waited since 1969 to see another All Star game in the nation’s capital was wild with approval.

Nationals Scherzer K’s 11, Defeats Diamondbacks 3-1

Article by Jeff Demers | May 11th, 2018 | Heroes Media Group

PHOENIX- The Washington Nationals got the scoring going immediately as Turner would lead off with a home run just over the wall in Left Field.  The shot was Trea Turners 4th home run of the year, and his 7th lead-off home run of his career.  Bryce Harper would follow that shot up with a blast off the Center Field wall for a double.  Koch would get the next 3 Nationals batters on a pair of fly-outs and a ground out to second base.

The Diamondbacks would strand a total of three runners in scoring position in both the 1st and 2nd …
